Let’s connect more young people to nature
We want to enable every child from Birmingham and the Black Country to grow up with a love of nature, to inspire them to develop lifelong relationships with our urban wild places and to foster their ability to care for and protect the wildlife on our doorsteps.
This is why we work with schools across the region to connect staff and pupils to the natural green spaces within their school grounds and local area.
Why it is important
We know that connecting children to nature and nurturing deeper relationships with the natural world has many benefits, including better physical health, well-being and improved academic achievement.
